History

ADC was founded in 2007 by Altira Group (www.altira-group.de), an international Asset Management Company based in Frankfurt. Having recognized the potential of Africa as an investment destination for the coming decade an investment team and the investment corporation were set-up.

Besides providing seed capital to the company, Altira Group offers ADC a professional institutional infrastructure that provides, among other things, risk management, business development, accounting, legal, HR, administration and IT services. This ensures stability and high-quality service, particularly with regard to the transparency of investor communications. Via ADC’s office in Frankfurt, it accesses the full magnitude of the Altira Group’s network and offers contacts to German and European businesses (for know-how transfer), politicians and to international organizations (“building bridges” between established European and emerging African markets).
